Adam Holloway was born in Faversham, Kent and educated in Surrey. He read Theology and then Social and Political Science at Cambridge University. After university he went to the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst before being commissioned into the Grenadier Guards.
After leaving the army he became an investigative journalist reporting for ITN from Bosnia and made a series of documentaries including undercover films on diverse subjects such as living as a schizophrenic, living rough on the streets of London for three months, people trafficking & asylum seekers and living life in a wheelchair.
Adam was elected to serve as the MP for Gravesham in May 2005. In 2006 he was appointed onto the Defence Select Committee.
He campaigns on retaining and improving health services, crime and anti-social behaviour (the biggest single issue for Gravesham), more visible policing and champions those who work in the social services and voluntary sectors, without whom life would be very unbearable for those less fortunate than the majority.
