Sure Start helps young families
Fairly often I visit Sure Start schemes run by Heather Robinson. This scheme has helped 200 individual families due to the energy and commitment of the staff there. It is important to stress that this is NOT run by social services. It is a scheme to help young parents and their children get a good start in life and help with early education, childcare, health and family support. For the children there are stay and play sessions, family fun time, messy mayhem and various events organised throughout the year.
